Running an sometime laptop 24/vii on Folding, with temps getting shut to Tj, max, neither using the CMD command nor dropping the ability for maximum processor land would work. I changed the power program from Balanced to Loftier Performance and dropping the max processor state past 2% it went from one.9 GHZ to simply under 1.6 GHz. Running slower but much cooler. No Idea why changing the power plan fabricated a divergence.

Howdy Jaynic, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Running the command in option 1 to add or remove the Maximum processor state power selection itself will make no difference. It volition simply hide or prove the setting without making whatsoever changes to it.

By default, Maximum processor state is fix to 100% to allow upward to 100% of the CPU.

If you lot have a restore point bachelor dated before this issue happened, you lot could endeavor doing a system restore using the restore point to disengage and fix this.

It may be best to mail service this effect in the Gaming forum area instead to troubleshoot what may be happening with the game and your system.

Just to confirm, did you close and reopen Power Options to apply the alter. It will not automatically show the alter.

If so, run the same control in an elevated PowerShell instead. I've noticed lately the add command sometimes only works in PowerShell for some unknown reason even though it shouldn't thing.
